= to take a risk for something or someone you care about, to strongly support
Ex: I’m going to “stick my neck out for you” and present your idea to the boss.
Ex: I need to be loyal to him because he “stuck his neck out for me” at the last meeting and defended me.
Ex: He made a risky investment. He “stuck his neck out for the deal” because he thought he could make some big money.
Ex: Why should I “stick my neck out for her,” when she has never helped me?
