Air’s name comes from the initials A.I.R.
In French, it stands for “Amour, Imagination, Rêve,” which translates to “love, imagination and dream.”
Their music is like electronic, rock and lounge music.
The two band members are from France.
Jean-Benoit Dunkell is in charge of vocals, piano, synthesizer, vibraphone, etc. Nicolas Godin is in charge of vocals, guitar, bass, koto, shamisen, etc.
They met at college, in Paris in 1995.
Their music is influenced by 70’s movie soundtracks.
In 1998, they released their 1st album “Moon Safari.”
Very soon, they were working with movie director Sofia Coppola.
Her father, Francis Ford Coppola is a very famous movie director.
Air’s music was included in Sofia Coppola’s “The Virgin Suicides” in 2000, and in “Lost in Translation” in 2003.
In 2007, they released the album “Pocket Symphony.”
That album was influenced by Japanese culture.
Since then, their popularity has continued to grow around the world.
I like their music because I think it’s very interesting and relaxing。
I think French and Japanese art are very similar.
I think both countries have a very unique culture and language, and their art is influenced by their beautiful environment.

“Playground Love”
I’m a high school lover, and you’re my favorite flavor
Love is all, all my soul
You’re my playground love
Yet my hands are shaking
I feel my body remains, themes no matter, I’m on fire
On the playground, love
You’re the piece of gold the flushes all my soul
Extra time, on the ground
You’re my playground love
Anytime, anyway,
You’re my playground love
